What’s In Your Closet?
Remember the basics of classic fashion are the following pieces:

üBlouse
üSlacks
üSport Coat/Blazer
üBasic T-Shirt/or Shell
üJeans
üKnee-Length Skirt (or close to it)
üSimple Dress

How you mix and match these pieces is the key.  Many times we fall into the rut of wearing the same shirt with the same pair of pants and skirt.

This becomes your look and also your rut.

Ladies it is time to break free!

Instead of always wearing your white shirt with your black skirt, wear the red one!

As always ladies, be lovely, be bold, be beautiful and most of all be YOU!
“I have nothing to wear!”  Or Do You?
How many times have you looked into your closet and said this?  Possibly just before reading this article, every morning before going to work, or when there is a special occasion?

I too have dreaded the closet argument.  But this was something that I needed to really look deep into…my closet.  When I did I found some fabulous pieces and just needed to match them with other items or accessories and get a new point of view.
Many of us are feeling the effects of the economic crunch that is so widely publicized.  Well your friend Gretchen is here to help. So this issue’s topic will cover how to find treasures in your closet.
Let’s not forget about accessories.  This can enhance or kill a great outfit.  Remember that simplicity is always the key.  Just as you would not add the entire container of salt to a dish to enhance the flavor so you want to also be moderate with your accessories.

Your basic accessories might include:

üNecklace
üRing(s)
üBracelet
üWatch
üEarrings
üBroach or Pin

Once you find these items you want to make them feel new.  Remember to check your labels before handling these articles of clothing.  Since some of these have been hanging out in the back for some time you may have forgotten the care label directions.  Give them a fresh new lease on life.  Get them dry cleaned or launder them.

Location is always the key no matter what the circumstance is so put these “new” items towards the front of your closet.  Blend them in with your everyday fashions.

This will save you a couple of bucks and since I know most of you out there reading this are very fashionable you will have great finds in your closets.
